Wind Energy and Military Compatibility - How to Get Your Project to the Finish Line

2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
The military has been raising increasing concerns over the last year regarding wind energy development in certain areas of the U.S. The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) has identified 17 air defense radars in nine states that may not be able to accommodate additional wind energy deployment within their line-of-sight. The Air Force and Department of Defense Military Aviation and Installation Assurance Siting Clearinghouse have requested establishment of two mile setbacks from intercontinental ballistic missile silos in six states. Additionally, developers need to continue to work through potential impacts to other radars and training routes.
Join this webinar to hear the latest developments on wind energy and military compatibility with panelists from NORAD, the DOD Siting Clearinghouse and industry representatives to better understand the challenges and potential solutions to this suite of issues.
